Doom Eternal is Coming to Xbox Game Pass on October 1
As a preview of what we can expect when Microsoft buys Bethesda, Doom Eternal is coming to Xbox Game Pass on October 1.
“Doom Eternal has been called one of the best first-person shooters ever,” Bethesda’s Derek Salisbury writes. “If you haven’t already experienced its unique brand of fast-paced, push-forward, first-person combat, now’s the time to blast your way into id Software’s critically acclaimed game coming to Xbox Game Pass on October 1 and Xbox Game Pass for PC later in 2020.”
Doom Eternal was originally released in March 2020 and it’s the sequel to the 2016 Doom remake. As with all of the other Doom games dating back to the original from the early 1990s, you play the so-called Doom Slayer—the character was orginally just “space marine”—and you battle demons and other creatures in a frenetic, fast-paced campaign that takes you to Earth, Mars, and Hell itself.
Bethesda plans to release a new DLC (downloadable content) for Doom Eternal called Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods – Part One in late October as well.
