HP today announced a sweeping set of updates to its Elite commercial PCs and ZBook portable workstations.

“As we experience a new normal that blurs reality between life and work, it’s clear that the PC is essential, allowing us to work, live, learn, collaborate, and create regardless of distance,” HP president Alex Cho said in a prepared statement. “Today’s line-up of innovative products, our largest commercial product launch ever, including the next generation of Elite PCs and desktops, the world’s first ergonomic monitors with always-on low blue-light, and the world’s brightest 14-inch mobile workstation, along with dedicated services to improve remote employee experiences, reinforces HP’s commitment to equipping workers with the right tools, power, and performance for the ultimate work from home experience.”

Here’s what’s new.

HP EliteBook x360 1030 and HP EliteBook x360 1040 G7. The new versions of these premium laptops are 6.3 percent smaller than the previous generation and provide up to an 89 percent screen-to-body ratio. They ship with hexa-core 10th generation Intel Core vPro processors and the HP EliteBook x360 1040 now delivers up to 29 hours of battery life.

HP EliteBook 805 G7 and HP EliteBook 800 G7 series. These mainstream commercial PCs are designed, HP says, to meet the demands of the multi-task, multi-place workday, and they now ship with both AMD and Intel-based processor options. There are 13.3-, 14-, and 15.6-inch display options.

HP EliteOne 800 All-in-One G6. Billed as the world’s most powerful commercial All-in-One, the EliteOne 800 is powered by 10th generation Intel Core processors, and come in 23.8- and 27-inch models, both with a thin profile and a sophisticated design. They can be outfitted with optional NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER graphics and provide low blue light, anti-glare displays with micro-edge bezels on three sides, with support for several stand options.

HP Collaboration All-in-One G6. This AIO design ships with Zoom Rooms, an integrated solution with a dedicated Zoom Room appliance that is ideal for the focus room or executive desk. “With 54 percent of companies planning to cut back on travel permanently due to the pandemic, this Zoom appliance makes it easy to join meetings with one-touch start and participate in face-to-face video calls without the need of carrying headsets,” HP says. It runs on Windows 10 IoT and features a 5 MP pop-up camera with an 88-degree wide viewing angle, integrated speakers, and microphones for easy collaboration and video conversations.

HP EliteDesk 800 G6 series. This new family of PCs provides a choice of form factors, including the HP EliteDesk 800 G6 Desktop Mini PC, the world’s smallest and most powerful Ultra Small Form Factor (USFF) business PC; the HP EliteDesk 800 G6 Small Form Factor PC, the world’s highest performance and most expandable business-class SFF; and the HP EliteDesk 800 G6 Tower PC, the world’s highest performance and more expandable business-class tower PC.

ZBook Firefly 14. Described as the world’s smallest and lightest mobile workstation, the ZBook Firefly 14 is 8.8 percent smaller and 5.2 percent lighter than its predecessor, and it provides an 84 percent screen-to-body ratio. The Firefly also provides HP Sure View Reflect to guard against visual hacking and HP Sure Start Gen 6 for firmware and malware attack prevention.

ZBook Firefly 15. This is HP’s lightest ever 15-inch mobile workstation. It’s 9.5 percent smaller and 1.8 percent lighter compared to the previous generation, and it has up to an 86 percent screen-to-body ratio.
