Microsoft Delivers the Xbox June 2020 Update
Microsoft has announced the availability of the Xbox June 2020 Update, adding simplified digital library management and other new features.
“Many Xbox gamers use a digital game library, downloading titles to their consoles through memberships like Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Live Gold or EA Access,” Microsoft’s Jonathan Hildebrandt writes. “This month we’re announcing updates that make it easier to manage that ever-growing digital games collection.”
The June 2020 Update is available now and includes the following new features.
Digital game management improvements. With the June 2020 Update, the Xbox Dashboard adds overlays to game tiles in My Games & Apps, Home, and Guide so that it’s easier to tell at-a-glance the origin of your games. This release support games from Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Live Gold, and EA Access subscriptions, Microsoft says.
Membership indications. Those who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass or Xbox Live Gold will now see a badge next to their Gamertag on Home and in the Guide that highlights those memberships.
Xbox Game Pass improvements. Xbox Game Pass members will now see an Xbox Game Pass content block at the top of their Xbox One dashboard so they can more easily discover new games.
Official Club verification. Official Clubs are created and managed by game developers and their community managers, and they serve as an official source for information and updates, while fan-based Clubs are made by individuals. So Microsoft has added verification badges to make it easier to see which Clubs are run by game developers.
