Google and SiriusXM have just announced they have teamed up to bring the latter’s lineup of audio entertainment to Nest smart speakers and displays via the Google Assistant. One of the much-requested features asked by customers using Nest Mini, Nest Hub and other such devices powered by Google Assistant, the ability to connect to SiriusXM channels will next month.Regardless of what phone you’re using (Android or iOS), you should start seeing SiriusXM’s channels in the Google Home app at some point next week. With the Google Assistant, you’ll be able to use your voice to navigate through SiriusXM’s wide range of music and talk programming with much ease.

Also, SiriusXM subscribers will be able to ask Google Assistant to play a specific channel by saying “Hey Google, play The Beatles Channel on SiriusXM.” Also, the deal will let subscribers access Howard Stern’s two exclusive SiriusXM’s channels and a range of other channels carrying spoken word programming form various genres such as sports, entertainment, news, lifestyle, and comedy.

For those who also own a smart display like a Nest Hub or Nest Hub Max, Google confirmed that they will be able to watch SiriusXM video later this year. A selection of video clips curated specifically for the Google Assistant will be made available to Nest smart display users, which will allow them to see exclusive interviews, in-studio performances, and other entertaining tidbits.

Last but not least, Google announced that with any purchase of a Nest or Home device, eligible customers will be able to get three months of SiriusXM programming free. On the other hand, eligible customers who already own such a device will be offered three months of SiriusXM with the purchase of a SiriusXM All Access and SiriusXM Premier Streaming subscription.

According to the media company, SiriusXM Select, SiriusXM All Access and SiriusXM Premier Streaming subscriptions will be available at promotional rates and bundled with a Google Nest Hub.
