Spotify Now Has an App Dedicated for Kids
Spotify is launching an interesting new product today. The music streaming service is introducing a dedicated new app for kids, aptly titled Spotify Kids, built for its “next generation” of listeners.
Spotify Kids is launching in beta first in Ireland, and Spotify hopes to bring the new experience to all markets in the coming months.
Spotify Kids is a completely different app from the main Spotify app. It’s a standalone app that includes a completely different design, built for kids. So the entire experience is very colorful and character-based. Spotify Kids even offers a different experience based on the age group. “The artwork for younger kids is softer and character-based, while content for older kids is more realistic and detailed,” Spotify said.
The content on Spotify Kids is all curated by human editors, and hand-picked by a team of editors. All the content on Spotify Kids is family and kids friendly and offers kids with playlists full of singalongs and tracks appropriate for them.
Spotify Kids is only available to Spotify Premium Family users, and you can add multiple accounts within the app for all your children. If you are in Ireland and have a Spotify Premium Family subscription, you can get Spotify Kids for Android here, and for iPhones here.
