Massive OnePlus 8 Pro leak reveals quad-camera setup, new display

Two weeks after providing an early glimpse at next year’s OnePlus 8, tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer is back with a new set of renders that arrive courtesy of 91Mobiles. This time, though, the device being showcased is the premium OnePlus 8 Pro. OnePlus received quite a bit of praise this year for the all-screen design it implemented on the OnePlus 7 Pro. But pop-out camera system, on the contrary, was criticised by some and probably proved quite costly for the company which already operates on slim profit margins. That’s likely why it’s going to ditch the setup on next year’s OnePlus 8 Pro in favour of a punch hole display that resembles the one found on Samsung’s Galaxy S10.
This is accompanied by extremely thin side bezels and what appear to be a uniform top and bottom bezel. The rear, on the other hand, is adorned by a vertical camera setup although some important changes have been made. Firstly, the size of the triple-camera module now appears slightly larger, but, more importantly, it’s now accompanied by an unspecified fourth sensor.
The upgrade means the OnePlus 8 Pro should rock a primary camera, a telephoto zoom shooter, an ultra-wide-angle alternative, and a dedicated Time-of-Flight sensor for improved bokeh imagery. Of course, everything is paired with an LED flash and a laser autofocus system like the one present on this year’s OnePlus 7T Pro.
