Immersive Reader Comes to PowerPoint for the Web, OneDrive, More

Microsoft announced today that its Immersive Reader is now rolling out to PowerPoint for the web, OneDrive, SharePoint, and MakeCode.
“One of the top requests we’ve heard from students, parents[,] and educators has been to add the Immersive Reader to PowerPoint,” Microsoft’s Mike Tholfsen writes. “It has also been a top UserVoice request for the PowerPoint team. We are excited to announce that Immersive Reader in PowerPoint for the web is rolling out globally to Office Insiders, and will continue rolling out in April.”
Immersive Reader shows up in PowerPoint for the web in two places: In the Notes section of any slide and when you select any text, right-click, and choose “Open in Immersive Reader.” In OneDrive (for the web), Immersive Reader will become an option for reading Word documents and text files starting in April.
As for SharePoint, Immersive Reader will become a toolbar-based option for reading any SharePoint pages starting in April. And in MakeCode, Microsoft’s coding projects site, you’ll be able to optionally read Arcade tutorials in Immersive Reader.
