Microsoft Store Tests New Shopping Cart Feature on Xbox and PC
Microsoft is launching a new feature for the Microsoft Store on PCs and Xbox One consoles. The company today announced the new Shopping Cart feature for Xbox Insiders on the Skip Ahead, Preview Alpha, and Preview Beta rings.
Shopping Cart on the Microsoft Store works just like you would expect: it lets you purchase multiple items as part of a single, unified order. So for example, you can buy multiple games, or a game and an app, or a movie and a game, together without having to separately purchase them. The purchase will have a single order number, too. It’s a useful feature that could come in handy in some cases, but it’s definitely not a necessity for an app/game store.
Microsoft is only testing the Shopping Cart feature for the Microsoft Store at this point in time, so there are some known issues and rough edges. Either way, if you are an Xbox Insider or Windows Insider, make sure to give it a go.
