Tips and picks
Tip of the week: Get Windows 10 version 21H1 right now
There’s no more “magic window,” but those who want 21H1 can get it right now very easily.
App pick of the week: Vivaldi 3.8
The latest version of Vivaldi adds a fun new feature called the Cookie Crumbler
Enterprise pick of the week: Goals!
Not just any goals. Power BI Goals. If you love scorecards (and who doesn’t, Kevin Turner??), you are going to enjoy this new feature coming to Power BI Premium.
Enterprise pick No. 2 of the week: Windows Server 2022
The LTSC version of Windows Server 2022 may show up earlier than Microsoft promised. Last year, it was supposed to be a year-end 2022 deliverable. But there are hints that it could debut a lot sooner. For more on this topic, check out the latest MJFChat on Petri all about Win Server 2022 with special guest Michael Reinders.
Cocktail pick of the week: Pink Paloma
Everybody thinks “margarita” with Mexican food but I’ve always been more of a fan of the Paloma, probably because I like grapefruit juice so much. Pink grapefruit juice makes it live up to its name but any grapefruit juice would work. Fresh is best.
- 4 ounces pink grapefruit juice
- 1/2 ounce lime juice
- Splash simple syrup
- 2 ounces tequila or mezcal
Mix all ingredients together, serve over crushed ice. Palomas usually have a splash of club soda added at the end but I prefer it without.
