Sticky Notes 3 for Windows 10 Launches With Cross-Device Syncing, Dark Theme, More
Microsoft is today launching the brand new Sticky Notes app for Windows 10 in a preview. The company has been teasing the major new update for Sticky Notes over the last few weeks, and Insiders in Skip Ahead can finally try it out themselves.
Sticky Notes 3 is a big update for Sticky Notes as you know it. So far, one of the much-requested features of the app was the ability to sync notes across all your devices. Starting with Sticky Notes 3, the app finally syncs and backs up all your notes to the cloud. So now when you add a note on your computer and move to your laptop when travelling, that note will show up seamlessly on your laptop. And if you make changes on your laptop, those changes will sync to your desktop too. Keep in mind that Syncing support on Sticky Notes 3 is part of a bigger plan for Microsoft — the company is working on Android and iOS apps for Sticky Notes, so this is essentially the first step towards the firm’s ultimate goal.
Sticky Notes 3 introduces a number of other features, too. There’s a new dark theme called Charcoal Note, a new formatting bar for easier styling of notes, improved performance, new animations, and improved accessibility. With Sticky Notes 3, users can also see all their notes in the main app and only choose to some of their notes on the desktop which is really useful if you have a ton of different notes.
Sticky Notes 3 is available for Insiders in Skip Ahead for the time being, though it will make its way to more users in the near-future.
